GODDARD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMITTEES INFORMATION
Committee meetings (with the exception of the Executive & Finance Committee) are open to all Chamber Members and are held either monthly or quarterly at the Chamber office, 120 W. Second, Ste 700.
AVAILABLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMITTEES:
- Executive Committee
- The Chamber Executive Committee is comprised of the elected Board positions President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and the President/CEO. The Executive Committee meetings are closed meetings held monthly. Must be elected/appointed.
- Finance Committee
- Must be elected/appointed
- Oversight of Chamber budget and finances
- Must have one non-board member on the committee at all times
- Do budget audit yearly and to present to board
- Plan budget for upcoming year
- Member Services Committee (Formerly the Organization/Promotion Committee)
- Seek new businesses to join and assist in securing sponsorships to Chamber events
- Assist with Member Retention (Speak to businesses that did not renew to discuss current membership levels and benefits)
- Mentor new and prospective members at meetings and follow up with them so they feel familiar with the Chamber
- Review membership and sponsorship benefits and make recommendations to Board of any proposed changes
- Assist in securing meeting speakers and meeting content for Annual Meeting, Monthly Luncheons and Professional Development Workshops
- Assist with creation and implementation of other events and fundraisers, including securing sponsorships, prize donations and help with running the events.
- Goddard Chamber Strategic Workgroup
- Responsible for researching and recommending future direction of the Chamber (5-10 year plan)
